10.4 Transparency and Assurance

How CurricuLLM maintains trust and accountability.

CurricuLLM is committed to transparency and accountability in all operations.

Clear terms

For UK schools, CurricuLLM's master agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Terms of service and privacy policies are written in plain language and available at Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Studio sharing license

When you mark Studio content as suitable for students or ok to share with other teachers, you grant CurricuLLM a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to:

  • Host, store, and process the content to run the Service
  • Show it to other users inside CurricuLLM where sharing is enabled
  • Include it in shared libraries, templates, examples, and galleries
  • Use it in product training and support materials
  • Review it for safety, quality, and compliance

If you turn sharing off later, we will stop using it for new sharing and new examples within a reasonable time. However, copies may remain where other users have already accessed or exported it, or where stored in backups, logs, or required for legal or safety reasons.

API developer transparency

Developers using the API must not misrepresent their application as being affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by CurricuLLM unless expressly authorised in writing. We may request evidence of curriculum licensing permission or compliance, and failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in suspension.

Regular updates

Significant changes to terms or privacy are communicated to schools in advance, giving time to review and ask questions. Notice may be provided via email or in-product notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Data retention

Data is only kept as long as necessary for service provision or legal compliance. Deleted accounts are fully removed or anonymised within a reasonable timeframe. Upon termination, your licence ends and we may delete content after reasonable retention.

Limitations

As with all AI tools, there may be errors. Teachers and schools are advised to use professional judgment alongside CurricuLLM. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or content accuracy.

National Framework Alignment

For UK schools, CurricuLLM aligns with the Generative AI Product Safety Standards and the Department for Education's guidance on the use of AI in education.

We work to align with applicable privacy law in every jurisdiction we operate (the UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018 for UK schools, and equivalents elsewhere), ensure appropriate data handling practices, maintain compliance with student privacy laws, and support schools in meeting their obligations.

Questions and concerns

For questions, privacy requests, or concerns, contact hello@curricullm.com. We are committed to addressing your queries promptly and transparently.
