16.1.6 Badge Styles & Profile Pictures
Choosing your badge art style and setting an earned badge as your profile picture.
Every badge comes in several cosmetic art styles — the same achievements, reskinned — and you can turn an earned badge into your profile picture.
Choosing your badge style
- Available styles include: Space Animals (default), Anime Heroes, Mythical Creatures, Kawaii Pals, Sports Legends, and World Cup Nations.
- Choose your style in Settings → Preferences using the badge style picker.
- There's a 7-day cooldown between style changes, so choose deliberately.
- Onboarding includes a "Choose your badge style" step.
Setting a badge as your profile picture
In Settings → Preferences → Profile picture, you have three options:
- Generate an avatar — a friendly illustrated avatar. Always available.
- Upload a photo — only available if your school has allowed photo uploads.
- Use an earned badge — pick from badges you've actually earned; the badge artwork becomes your profile picture.
Only genuinely earned badges can be used as a profile picture.

Styles let you make Galaxy feel like yours, and using a badge as your profile picture is a way to show off an achievement you're proud of — one you actually earned.
