Legal Terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between CurricuLLM and users of our educational AI platform.

1. Acceptance & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have consent from an authorized school representative to use the Service.

If using on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Accounts & Security

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an Account.

You are responsible for all activity under your Account and must keep login credentials secure.

Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. License & Use Rights

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the Service for educational purposes.

You may display, download, and print AI-generated Content for classroom use. Generated content remains your property.

4. Prohibited Uses

You must not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without permission.

No reverse-engineering, decompiling, or using automated means to access the Service.

Cannot use the Service to develop competing products.

5. Subscriptions & Fees

Free Tier: Offered with usage limits that may change. We may throttle excessive usage.

Paid Plans: Renew automatically unless cancelled. Prices in AUD excluding taxes.

Refunds: All fees are non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant us a licence to host and process your Content to provide the Service.

We may create anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and improvement.

You're responsible for obtaining necessary consents for student data.

7. Privacy & Data

Our Privacy Policy governs data collection and use, forming part of these Terms.

Compliance with Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), GDPR, and relevant data protection laws.

We provide privacy notices for educational use.

8. Acceptable Use

Must not violate any law, including child protection and data-privacy laws.

No defamatory, obscene, hateful, or harmful content.

No harassment, threats, or attempts to harm others or systems.

9. Intellectual Property

All IP rights in the Service are owned by us or our licensors.

These Terms don't grant ownership interest in our technology.

Use of CurricuLLM name/logos requires prior written permission.

10. Curriculum Disclaimer

AI-generated Content is based on publicly available curriculum documentation.

We strive for accuracy but don't guarantee full alignment with any jurisdiction's requirements.

Educators must review all Content before classroom use.

11. Warranties & Disclaimers

Service provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties.

No guarantee of uninterrupted, error-free service or content accuracy.

You use the Service at your own risk.

12. Liability Limitations

Not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Total liability limited to greater of AUD 100 or amount paid in prior 12 months.

Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your Content
  • Your breach of these Terms

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for Terms breaches or legal requirements.

You may cancel your Subscription anytime via account settings.

Upon termination, your licence ends and we may delete Content after reasonable retention.

15. Changes & Updates

We may modify the Service or Terms at any time with reasonable notice.

Notice provided via email or in-product notification.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

Terms governed by laws of New South Wales, Australia.

NSW courts have exclusive jurisdiction except where mandatory consumer laws apply.

17. Copyright & Curriculum Licensing

CurricuLLM uses Australian and New Zealand curriculums under Creative Commons or by direct licensing.
