Frequently asked questions

Do we need to start at the beginning of a term?
No. Teacher activation can start at any point — a staff meeting, a PD day, or a dedicated session whenever it suits your calendar. Teachers get up to speed first, and the student pilot begins whenever they're ready. There's no need to wait for a term boundary.
How much teacher time does this require?
The initial workshop is 60 minutes. During the student pilot, we ask for a short weekly check-in (15 minutes) with the lead teacher. Beyond that, the ready-made lesson plans and resources we provide are designed to minimise preparation time.
How many students and teachers need to be involved?
That's flexible. Some schools start with a single class and one teacher, others involve a whole year level. We'll work with you to find the right scope during the activation phase.
Do we need to use this across the entire school?
No. Most schools start with one or two classes and a small group of teachers. The pilot is designed to work at whatever scale makes sense for your school — a single class is enough to see meaningful results. You can always expand after the pilot if it's working well.
What happens at the end of the pilot?
We deliver a detailed report covering student engagement, usage patterns, and teacher feedback — measured against the success criteria agreed at the start. Your school gets a clear, evidence-based picture of whether CurricuLLM is working, with no obligation to continue.
Is there a cost for the pilot?
The pilot is free. If your school decides to continue after seeing the results, we move to a paid licence. Pricing is discussed during the pilot so there are no surprises.
What data does it collect about students?
CurricuLLM collects the conversations students have on the platform, along with usage data like when and how often they log in. This data is used to provide teachers with analytics on student progress and to improve the learning experience. Student data is stored in Australia and is not shared with third parties or used for advertising.
Is it safe for students to use?
Yes. CurricuLLM is purpose-built for schools. Student conversations are monitored for safety, the platform has built-in guardrails to keep interactions appropriate, and all content is aligned to the Australian and New Zealand curricula. It's not a general-purpose AI tool — it's designed specifically for learning in a school context.
